At last, finals week is here and it's almost the end of the semester. You're worried if your grade will go up that letter grade higher or if your GPA will suffer if it doesn't. You're worried if you don't get A's, then you won't get in graduate school or you won't find a job after graduation. You won't be able to pay off your student loans, you won't be able to move out of your parent's house, you won't be able to start your life. When I was homesick, I had a bad habit of idealizing my old life, forgetting about all the annoying little things that came with it.

But it's way better to hang out at the beach down here. And the flying will be better (once I finally get my international line check/Latin Terrain qual). Island flying, with some central and north South America thrown in. I travel all week for work too, it’s easier for me because I’m single. I actually have to drive to Ohio tomorrow...

Especially since your identity will become ingrained in your school and it will feel like a home as well. I absolutely dread going back to college. They say that there is less drama and cliques in college, but that is far from the case. My high school was amazing and so are my high school friends . For about a year now, I've had anxiety when away from home. I went on holiday last year and my anxiety ruined it because I constantly felt sick and unwell. In the last 6 months it's gotten progressively worse and in the last couple of months, it's gotten really bad to the point where I'm at my wits end.

Not bad to visit for a day, but it would drive me insane having to go there to work every day, and it's only half an hour from me on the train. I work in London monday to friday away from my family who are in W yorks. There are a LOT worse ways to make coin for a living. Ya, there were cheaper pads out at the airport, but if I'm sitting, I'd rather do it on the beach. There are only four of us in this pad, so I'm alone most of the time.

We are closing the STL base, so it's possible I may get displaced. The bid closed yesterday, so we won't do anything until the results post. I tell every new hire I fly with, that this is a different job if you live in base. I drove to work for a long time, it makes a huge difference. Our plan was to move down here, and ride it out till I retire, since we live in the master base, and its uber senior. But when we start looking at the cost of living hit, I may as well just go back to the right seat, and we stay there.
